Continuing on with Why Maintain Your Doors we move on to Aluminium doors and this blog is a little bit shorter and to the point, Aluminium is a very soft material but widely used in doors and windows and is starting to take over from UPVC in commercial buildings especially when it comes to windows. So Aluminium doors get a lot of use when they are installed which means all the working parts are prone to wear and need to be maintained, when the closer starts to go wrong the door begins to slam or close erratically and can cause injury to the people using the door or cause damage to other parts of the door and frame, when the drive arms or pivots come out of alignment and stops the door from closing into the frame properly, when handles start to come loose and can cause damage to the aluminium profile, when locks start to come loose within the profile and don't lock properly, so another list of reasons to maintain your doors.
